Chye Hock Ang brings more than 25 years of experience in the electrical and electronic industry. In 2001 and 2002, Ang was appointed as chief operating officer and executive director of the board of Unisem, respectively.
Prior to joining Unisem in 2001, Ang was in Singapore for 16 years, acting as general manager at Magnetic Data Technologies, Wizard Multimedia and Applied Magnetics Singapore Pte Ltd.
Ang began his career with Motorola Malaysia Sdn Bhd, where he was a process engineer, chief engineer, engineering manager and product manager. While at Motorola, one of Ang's biggest responsibilities was starting a new factory in Seremban, where he was responsible for all factory operations and over 2,000 employees.
Ang holds a bachelor's degree in electronics (honors) from Salford University, England. He is also a member of the Remuneration Committee.
William Loh joined Unisem in 1991 as financial controller, was promoted to vice president of finance and administration in 2001 and in 2007 was appointed chief financial officer for the entire group. Loh is responsible for all controller functions, including tax, treasury operations, risk management and development of internal audits. In addition to his finance responsibilities, Loh handles all management information and general administration.
Loh is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
Prior to joining Unisem, Loh spent 13 years in private practice with various accounting firms.
Mike Griffin was appointed as Unisem Group's vice president of business development and marketing in 2008. Griffin's primary responsibilities are to lead the worldwide business development team and oversee all marketing activities. Griffin first joined Unisem in 2007 as region head for North America.
Prior to his appointment with Unisem, Griffin had served sense 1994 as part of the U.S. sales team at Advanced Interconnect Technologies (AIT), which was acquired by Unisem in 2007. Griffin has over 16 years of semiconductor industry experience, with previous sales and program management positions at Promex, Engineered Circuit Research and Western Microtechnology.
Griffin holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from California State University, Chico.
Gil Chiu was appointed as Unisem Groups region head for North American in 2008. Chiu's primary responsibilities are to lead the U.S. business development team and oversee key strategic accounts in the region.
Prior to his appointment with Unisem, Chiu held several positions while at Ampac Enterprises from 1997 to 2007, including vice president of sales and marketing.
Chiu holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from University of California - Santa Barbra.
Siew Chin Lim is the region head of Asia Pacific, where he is responsible for sales and strategic account management in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining Unisem, Lim worked as an engineer at General Electric (Electronic Components), Wafer Fab, National Semiconductor, ASE Malaysia and STATS ChipPAC.
Lim holds a Bachelor of Science degree (honors) in physics from University Science Malaysia.
Bernie Ramsay is the region head for Europe and oversees all sales-related functions for Unisem in the region. In his current role, Ramsay manages the overall European budget, maintains relationships with existing customers and guides the identification and development of new accounts. He also manages a significant number of development accounts and coordinates multi-plant resources to achieve a fast time to market.
Ramsay is a veteran semiconductor professional with more than 25 years of experience in engineering management, sales and director roles in the industry. Prior to his position at Unisem, Ramsay was responsible for the analysis and planning of client ERP system requirements at System Software Associates. Ramsay has also held positions at ASAT (UK) Ltd., INMOS/ST Microelectronics and National Semiconductor.
Ramsay holds a degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Newcastle Polytechnic and an M.B.A. from Open University in the UK.
Seong Chai Chow is the vice president of quality & reliability assurance. Based in Chengdu, SC Chow is responsible for all the Quality & Reliability Assurance functions of the Unisem group.
SC Chow joined Unisem Chengdu Co., Ltd. in 2005 and was appointed vice president of quality and customer service.
Prior to the Unisem group, SC Chow spent more than 33 years within the semiconductor and manufacturing industries, working with companies such as Motorola and Johnson Electric. SC Chow has worked in Malaysia, the United States, Hong Kong and China.
SC Chow holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
See Haw Tan was appointed in 2007 to the position of vice president overseeing the IT and supply chain functions for all of Unisem's worldwide operations.
Tan was, until his appointment with Unisem, CFO of Advanced Interconnect Technologies (AIT) which was acquired by Unisem in July 2007. Prior to AIT, Tan served for five years as the director of group finance for Asia Pacific Breweries Ltd, a company listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore. Tan's responsibilities included overseeing finance management information and corporate purchasing functions of the company, its subsidiaries and joint ventures located in the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Asia Pacific Breweries, Tan was the financial controller of Pepsi-Cola International's Asia division and also held finance and audit positions at NL Petroleum Service and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Tan is a certified public accountant and holds a degree in accounting from the University of Singapore.
Cheng Kee Leang joined Unisem in 1991 and is the vice president of facilities. He is responsible for the maintenance of the cleanroom systems, power installations, production support, and supervision of new projects and installation. Prior to Unisem, Cheng worked with Carsem (M) Sdn Bhd.
Cheng holds a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, Australia.
Ruth Chin is the senior manager of corporate affairs, and is responsible for all investor relations and corporate exercises. Prior to joining Unisem in 1999, Chin worked for a merchant bank's corporate advisory services and a consulting arm of an international accounting firm.
Chin obtained her bachelor's degree in business administration from Soochow University, Taipei, Taiwan and her master's degree in business administration (accounting) from Simon Fraser University, British Columbia, Canada.
Chris Stai is the senior manager of marcom and oversees all external communications for Unisem Group.
Prior to his appointment with Unisem, Stai held various positions at Advanced Interconnect Technologies (AIT) which was acquired by Unisem in 2007. Stai started at AIT in 1996 as a senior marketing specialist and quickly rose in the ranks to his current position. Prior to AIT, Stai held brand marketing and event management positions with Hi-Tec Sports, a global sporting goods manufacturer.
Stai has a bachelor's degree in business administration from the California State University, Stanislaus.
